High Green Development Trust is creating a Covid-19 Community Memorial to recognise and reflect on how the pandemic affected us as individuals and as a community. We really want to hear your stories, poems and see your photos, videos and artworks that tell your pandemic story. Were you a key worker? Did you help your neighbours? Perhaps you lost a loved one?
These stories will be used to create both a display on site and then a time capsule that will be buried here in our community garden at The Campus to be discovered by a future generation.
All the materials gathered will be submitted to the Sheffield City Archives where they will remain a part of history.
Later in the year we will hold a Covid-19 Memorial Event where the community will be invited to join us in the burial of the time capsule and to reflect on their pandemic stories and share them with others.
We want to hear from everyone, no matter what story you have to tell. From young to old and everyone in between and welcome submissions from the High Green. Chapeltown, Burncross, Grenoside and Ecclesfield area. You can send your stories in a number of ways ...
